Spring Open House - April 12, 2014
We had a great time at our Spring Open House. Reid Hargrove of McCorkle Nurseries was on hand his plant expertise answering lots of questions. It was a beautiful day and we all enjoyed the band, "Noise Ordinance".
Fairy Garden Workshop - March 30, 2014
Our first Fairy Garden Workshop was a success. Everyone had a good time and were very creative in making their gardens. Thanks to Maggie Terry of Riverbend Nursery for her expertise.
One Year Anniversary Celebration - October 5, 2013
Our One Year Anniversary Celebration was a blast. Thanks to Timeless Cruizers for bringing their amazing classic cars to our event. We also had awesome barbeque sauces samplings from Smokey Dave's and Souse. Kim of Two Sisters Fina Cocina had food demonstrations of their delicious Mexican Cooking Sauces. Music was provided by Chris Laws. A good time was had by all.

Holiday Open House - Nov. 17th 2012
Thank you to everyone that came out to our first annual Holiday Open House. We had hot chocolate, samples of dip, the best fudge I've ever tasted, BBQ sauce to sample with a wonderful cooked pork butt courtesy of Chad Lloyd and much, much more. Our Christmas trees, wreaths and garlands were out for all to have a sneak preview before coming back to make that final pick in the coming weeks. Don't worry if you couldn't make it, we're open every day and later now for the holiday season and we'll have another open house again next year, we'll see you then!!

Grand Opening - Sep. 29th 2012
A HUGE thank you to all that came out to our Grand Opening on Saturday, Sept. 29th. Even with all the rain, we had a great day of sampling products in the store and the gratification of seeing our customers going home with some beautiful plants for their yard. We really appreciate your support as our team here at Down Home Garden Center & General Store start out in this new venture. We hope you'll all become regulars and we'll continue to provide you with exceptional service and products!!

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony - Sep. 27th 2012
Now we feel officially open. The ceremony went very well, good food, great speech, great crowd! Down Home Garden Center & General Store is underway. See you all soon!!
Mebane Dogwood Festival - Apr. 2012
Our first booth event at the Mebane Dogwood Festival in April this year was a great success. We had so much wonderful feedback from all that stopped by. We can't wait to see you all again now that we are open. See you soon!!
